Gooseberry for health
Gooseberries have a rich chemical composition. By the content of some substances, it is simply unique. Gooseberries contain a lot of vitamin C, vitamin P, which prevents internal hemorrhages and strengthens blood vessels (moreover, in red gooseberries it is 4-10 times more than in green and yellow fruits). Also in the berries there is a lot of hematopoietic folic acid, useful for patients with anemia.
The medicinal properties of gooseberries are used for anemia, for improving the intestines, stimulating bile secretion. The ratio of potassium to sodium in gooseberries is 11: 1, which determines its decongestant properties.
Probably everyone at least once in his life heard about emerald jam. This wonderful jam is made from gooseberry berries. Today, gooseberries are canned, compotes, jams, jelly are cooked from it, marmalade is prepared. In the food industry, it is added to yoghurts, desserts and ice cream, sometimes added to marinades and sauces.
